Exploring the problem.
Imagine you are strolling through a shopping street. Something, a dress or a jacket catches your eye, and your heart immediately desires it. Your brain is telling you ‘’No! You shouldn’t’’, but your heart is telling you ‘’Yes! you need and deserve this’’.
Do you recognize yourself in this scenario? If yes, you are not alone! 70% of our target group had felt the same struggle between head and heart when spontaneously buying something for themselves. In addition, our target group has walked home with a new item in their bag countless times, only to realize they already had a similar item in the back of their closet, long lost and forgotten.
It's no news plenty of us (in the west) are having a consumption problem.
But even conscious people fall for their own desire.
Process.
Goal.
So, how can we engage those who are aware but makes excuses to be unsustainable anyway to increase their usage of garments they already own by 10%?
Solution.
By adding new features to H&M's current app we give their customers the tools they need to reuse, remake & refresh the garments they already own.
Hopefully, that item long lost & forgotten in the back of the wardrobe will shine once again.
